The essentials,
done right.
Core covers exactly what a martial arts school needs to run day to day — nothing more, nothing less.
Who the Core plan is for
Core is the plan for a school still run by the people who teach in it — one location, an owner who is on the mat most nights, and at most one other person covering the desk. Everything in Core is something you touch daily. Nothing in it needs configuring before it earns its place.
You teach and run the business
Core includes the owner plus one staff account. That fits a school where the owner teaches most classes and one person handles enrollment, payments, and the front desk. The moment a third person needs their own login, you are at the line where Pro starts to make sense — less for the seat itself than for the staff scheduling and task tools that come with it.
You run one location
Core is $79/mo per location with no per-student fee, so a school of forty students and a school of two hundred pay the same. Running a second school does not force a plan change either — Multi-Location Support is a paid add-on on both Core and Pro.
You want families on the app without running a marketing system
The student and parent app is included in Core rather than held back for a higher tier. Families get the schedule, their payment status, and your announcements on their phone from the first week, which removes most of the questions your front desk answers over and over.
What Core actually covers
Core is not a trial version of Pro. It is the set of systems a school cannot operate without, with the automation and the analysis left out.
Student records and memberships
One record per student — contact details, membership status, start date, payment history — that follows them through trial, enrollment, hold, and cancellation. You enter a student once.
Class scheduling
Build the weekly timetable once and it repeats. Students see it in the app, which is the difference between a front desk that answers 'when is the 6pm?' twenty times a week and one that does not.
Billing and payments
Recurring tuition charges against a card on file. Core runs the charge; the automated sequence that chases a declined card is a Pro feature, so on Core you work the declines from the payments list yourself.
Attendance and kiosk check-in
Check students in at the desk or from a kiosk. Core covers attendance and trial sign-up on the kiosk; automated attendance rules and the fuller kiosk feature set are Pro.
Trials and events
Up to three trial memberships and three events. That covers a school running one intro offer and a seasonal event at a time — not a year-round camp and seminar calendar.
Phone and Zoom support
Included on Core. You are not pushed to email-only support because you are on the lower plan.
Core vs. Pro
Pro has no feature limits. Core covers the essentials with a few caps to keep it lean.
The After-School program is available as a paid add-on on both Core and Pro.
When a school outgrows Core
Core has caps, not missing fundamentals. These are the four points where owners usually hit them.
A third person needs their own login
Core covers the owner and one staff account. When instructors start sharing credentials, the account limit is the smaller problem — staff scheduling, task assignment, and the admin mobile app all live in Pro.
Belt testing stops fitting in a spreadsheet
Rank ladders, testing eligibility pulled from attendance, scoring, and certificates are all Pro. For schools that run testing on a fixed cycle, this is usually the first thing that pushes them up a plan.
You no longer have time to chase payments
Core charges the card. Pro follows up on the decline, sends the reminder, and hands you the list of families to call. The gap shows up as unpaid tuition sitting longer than it should.
You need to know what is actually happening
Reports, revenue projection, and the student map are Pro. Core will run your school; it will not tell you which class times are underfilled or which neighborhoods your students come from.
Core plan questions
Can I start on Core and move to Pro later?
Yes, and nothing is re-entered. Students, schedule, payment history, and attendance records carry over — upgrading turns features on rather than moving you to a different system.
What counts as a staff account?
Anyone other than the owner who signs in with their own credentials. Core includes one staff account in addition to the owner, for two logins in total.
Is the student app included on Core?
Yes. Students and parents get the app on both plans, with the class schedule, payment status, and your announcements.
What if I need more than three trial memberships or events?
The three-at-a-time caps are what separate Core from Pro on this point. A school running continuous intro offers or a full event calendar is the case Pro is priced for.
Are there contracts or setup fees?
No. Core is $79/mo per location, month to month, with no setup fee and no per-student charge.
Can I add two-way SMS or the After-School program on Core?
Yes. Two-way SMS, the After-School program, and Multi-Location Support are paid add-ons available on both Core and Pro — no plan upgrade required.
